The e-learning portal of SOFAD (Société de formation à distance des commissions scolaires du Québec)Each learner has a specific length of time to access an eduSOFAD course. The exact time limit is calculated according to the standard course requirements established by the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport. If the student is registered for either distance learning or through an on-site learning institution, this period is considerably longer than the time limits imposed by school boards.
If you are following a general education program, one hour of learning equals one week of access time, up to a maximum of 52 weeks. For example, the course The Human Reproductive System and the Perinatal Period requires 50 hours of learning. You would therefore have 50 weeks of access time, starting from the date of your first visit to the online course.
For a placement test, the access period is always 12 weeks.
Please note that you can go to the online course as often and as long as you like during your access period. However, your school board may require you to complete your learning in a shorter period (depending on the administrative or learning conditions prescribed by your school board).
The cost of a course on the portal is calculated at a fixed rate depending on the number of units attached to it. One unit costs $12.

The rates for related services, such as placement tests, are determined according to the fees generally charged for these services in the school board network.
Taxes will be added to your course fees. There is an additional administrative charge of $3 if your payment is made by mail or fax.
All fees are non-refundable, unless the course you have selected is no longer offered.
Each payment must cover a single course or service.
